Yvette has been at Jewish Care for the past few years; finding her feet after working in nursing, finance, and accounts for a number of years. After taking time out to look after her mother, she decided to develop her career in care and now attends to the needs of up to 12 clients living in their own homes - with everything from shopping to taking them to hospital appointments.
“I much prefer working with people rather than paper. I get a lot of personal satisfaction from that. As a Catholic, I knew very little about the Jewish faith when I first started working here, but I find it very interesting and often discuss beliefs and traditions with my clients. In fact, there are a lot of similarities between our faiths. Working with people from different backgrounds is rewarding in itself.”
