We’re looking for a dedicated Social Worker to help improve the quality of life for some of society’s most vulnerable people in the Greater London area. This a full-time role doing 36.25 hours per week, with a starting salary between £32,773 to £34,857 (dependant on experience). The post will be in East locality team, based at Redbridge but covering a wide geographical area from City of London to Southend on Sea, and in the first instance within the dementia specialism.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll work collaboratively as required, building networks and developing activities which enhance social and community life for the individuals under our care. Your core duties will involve:

  • Making effective and timely assessments and decisions to achieve positive change
  • Taking a multi-disciplinary approach to provide effective intervention
  • Providing personalised care which improves quality of life for individuals
  • Enabling individuals to remain within their community by promoting independence

What we need from you

You’ll be experienced working with adults in a social care context, and confident managing a social work caseload. You’ll genuinely care about empowering people to live meaningful lives with dignity. We’re also looking for the following:

  • Social work qualification (Essential)
  • Registered with HCPC (Essential)
  • UK driving licence & access to vehicle for work (Essential))
  • Successfuly completed ASYE (Essential)
  • Experience of community and/or group work (Essential)
  • Significant working knowledge and experience of Care Act (2014) and Mental Capacity Act (2005) (Essential)
  • Experience of, or an interest in, working with the Jewish community
  • Experience of using electronic data bases to maintain up to date client records(desirable)
