The Senior Marketing Coordinator will lead on project managing, develop and implementing marketing & communications for the following with workload and priorities agreed in consultation with the Director of Marketing, Communications and Customer Engagements:

  • Direct Marketing
  • Fundraising and Community Engagement – with a focus on delivering marketing material for key events and the legacies portfolio
  • Human resources
  • Key services

Jewish Care’s marketing, communications and customer engagement team is a busy and fast paced team responsible for overseeing and delivering the organisation’s entire marketing and communications needs. The team has an annual income target of £540,000 for 2019/20 with an expenditure budget £740,000 and a team of 17 staff.

Our goal and purpose as a team is to work together to achieve the following for Jewish Care:

  • Position Jewish Care as the leading service provider of choice to our community
  • Make every interaction with our customers count across each key entry point of sale in to the organisation
  • Support our service colleagues to increase our number of service users and generate more income
  • Support our HR team to attract excellent and talented individuals by positioning us as a great organisation to come and work for
  • Support our Fundraising and Community Engagement team with all of their marketing needs to help them reach their target of raising £16m each year

The role of the Senior Marketing Coordinator is to:

Take a lead role on project managing, develop and implementing marketing & communications for the following with workload and priorities agreed in consultation with the Director of Marketing, Communications and Customer Engagements:

  • Direct Marketing
  • Fundraising and Community Engagement – with a focus on delivering marketing material for key events and the legacies portfolio
  • Human resources
  • Key services

Principle responsibilities:

    • Project manage, develop and implement marketing material from start to finish for some of our new and key services opening soon including; Pears Court Independent Living, The Ronson Family Community Centre and all upcoming marketing material needed for phase 2 of our new Sandringham campus development.
    • Project manage, develop and implement marketing material and collateral from start to finish for all our community centres in line with the new rebranding campaign that will shortly commence for them to be underpinned by.
    • Develop and implement marketing material for key services as and when needed.
    • Create and develop communications, marketing material, collateral and really engaging content to help support the Living with Jewish Care team deliver a great customer experience and journey for those potential customers looking to come and live in our homes.
    • Carry out and deliver in depth competitor reviews (including mystery shopping) for some of our key services as identified by the Head of Marketing and Customer Engagement
    • Supporting the Director of Marketing, Communications and Customer Engagement and the Head of Marketing and Customer Engagement with the development of a new admissions process and customer journey for those interested in coming to live in one of our care homes at Jewish Care
    • Work with the other Senior Marketing Coordinator to develop and implement legacy marketing material both offline and online to help recruit and engage and retain legacy supporters
    • Be responsible for some of our marketing and key communications (including project management and delivery of films) for some of our key fundraising events including; The Holocaust Survivors’ Dinner, Family Fun Day, Women of Distinction event and other key events as and when needed
    • Oversee and project managing our Annual Volunteers’ awards film in partnership with a filmmaker from the briefing stage through to pre-production, directing and edit to ensure successful delivery, widespread use and maximum impact of our organisation’s messages
    • With the team’s other Senior Marketing Coordinator be the joint point of contact and lead on all staff external recruitment and internal marketing communications to help the organisation recruit talented people and strengthen our employee brand
    • To work closely with members of the digital team and wider marketing team to share any amazing content or case studies you come across to allow them to be amplified and shared with the wider community

Qualifications

  • GCSE passes in English & Maths (essential)
  • Marketing qualification (preferable)

 Experience

  • Significant experience overseeing and leading on large printed and digital advertising campaigns
  • Significant relevant experience in direct marketing and appeals, with demonstrable success at delivering to and beyond targets
  • Significant relevant experience in setting and implementing internal and external organisational marketing plans in a not-for-profit, public sector or commercial environment
  • An experienced people manager
  • Strong experience in media strategy planning and negotiating of sales rates with experience of overseeing and developing films 

This post is fixed term to cover maternity leave for upto 12 months.
