The Senior Marketing Coordinator will lead on project managing, develop and implementing marketing & communications for the following with workload and priorities agreed in consultation with the Director of Marketing, Communications and Customer Engagements:

  • Direct Marketing
  • Fundraising and Community Engagement – with a focus on delivering marketing material for key events and the legacies portfolio
  • Human resources
  • Key services

Principle responsibilities:

  • Oversee from the planning stage right though to print and the social media and online assets needed our three direct appeals for; Pesach, Rosh Hashanah and Chanukah to help them achieve their £550,000 target
  • Be responsible for all the marketing and key communications (including project management and delivery of films) for key fundraising events including the following events; The Great Jewish Bake Day, Young Patron’s Dinner, and Topland Business lunch.
  • Develop and implement legacy marketing material both offline and online to help recruit and engage and retain legacy supporters
  • Develop and implement marketing material for key services as and when needed
  • Supply online banners and printed ads to the Jewish Chronicle and The Jewish News
  • Oversee and project managing the staff awards film in partnership with a filmmaker from the briefing stage through to pre-production, directing and edit to ensure successful delivery, widespread use and maximum impact of our organisation’s messages
  • To be the point of contact and lead on lead on all staff external recruitment and internal marketing communications to help the organisation recruit talented people and strengthen our employee brand
  • Work with key colleagues across the following fundraising portfolios:  Young Jewish Care, Young Patrons and Friends of Jewish Care in supporting them with their marketing needs to help inform, engage and cultivate donors in each of these segments
  • To work closely with members of the digital team and wider marketing team to share any amazing content or case studies you come across to allow them to be amplified and shared with the wider community


  • GCSE passes in English & Maths (essential)
  • Marketing qualification (preferable)


  • Significant experience overseeing and leading on large printed and digital advertising campaigns
  • Significant relevant experience in direct marketing and appeals, with demonstrable success at delivering to and beyond targets
  • Significant relevant experience in setting and implementing internal and external organisational marketing plans in a not-for-profit, public sector or commercial environment
  • An experienced people manager
  • Strong experience in media strategy planning and negotiating of sales rates with experience of overseeing and developing films 

This post is fixed term for upto 12 months to cover maternity leave.
