We’re a multi award-winning organisation looking for a Weekend Receptionist in the Stanmore area. This part-time role is for 12 hours per week every Sunday,  will be helping to provide an exceptional standard of care for our residents in Anita Dorfman House. The role is to provide an efficient, professional and courteous reception service at the Home.

 

  • What you'll be doing:
  • Answering and transfering calls promptly, professionally and courteously.
  • Using the switchboard and connected equipment correctly and to take messages clearly and accurately as required
  • Covering reception duties efficiently and effectively, greeting visitors to the Home in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Monitoring CCTV and be aware of security procedures.
  • Be aware of emergency procedures, including fire and bomb threats.
  • Ensuring the reception area is kept tidy at all times.
  • Carrying out administrative and word processing duties as required.

What you'll need:

  • Experience of operating a busy front desk
  • Experience of carrying out varied administrative duties including word processing
  • Excellent telephone and reception manner, i.e. professional, courteous, calm and efficient
  • Clear, concise written communication, with the ability to take accurate messages
  • Understanding of confidentiality
  • Ability to deal appropriately with a variety of people including staff, residents, their families and volunteers
  • Ability to work under pressure, using initiative
  • Ability to be adaptable
