Purpose of the Role/Job summary
The Print & Digital Designer is a key role in Jewish Care’s fast paced Marketing and Communications team. They are a high achieving team producing high offline and online marketing and communications material. There are 10 members of staff in the Marketing team whose roles encompass, brand, direct marketing, social media, content creation, PR, design, publications, digital marketing, advertising, and reputation management and corporate communications.
This team is responsible for upkeeping the brand and reputation of the organisation along all mass external communication, through digital and social media, film, direct appeals, press, advertising, publications, leaflets, mailings, website, merchandise etc. The team works in partnership with nearly all of the organisation’s main internal departments (Fundraising and Community Engagement, Care and Community services, HR, Property and Hospitality teams to name just a few) as well as with specific committees, lay leaders and many other services to support them with their marketing and communications needs.
The Print & Digital Designer will report into the Studio Design Manager, whilst also working very closely to support the Head of Communications and PR and the Digital Marketing Manager along with other colleagues in the team.
They will be delivering against print and digital briefs from a wide range of stakeholders across the organisation, which will range from campaign and collateral briefs to design assets needed to promote and support events. This role would suit someone who is experienced and passionate about both design in print and digital, who is also passionate about content, and has experience in both print, digital design,
Print and Digital Design
To support the studio by ensuring routine and regular print & digital design work is completed to a high standard, on time and accurately in order to meet the organisation’s needs.
To ensure any design campaign or job you lead on takes an integrated approach in look and feel across all material for that campaign or event.
Working experience of QuarkXPress, in- design Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator (Essential)
HNC/HND or BA in graphic design or similar
2-5 years’ experience in print and digital design
1 years’ experience in digital marketing or content production for social media
Experience of creating films and animation films
Experience of creating digital marketing e-shots
