The 350 Hotel services team members form part of the Operations Department based in all Resources at Jewish Care.  The Head Office of which is based in Amelie House in Golders Green.

The role of Laundry Assistant will involve the delivery of Hotel Services within Jewish Care Homes and Community Centres. This position will be responsible for the effective delivery of laundry services to an excellent standard to meet Health & Safety Regulations.  Effective communication, ability to work well within a team and be flexible in their approach.

This role is for 30 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 and based at our Otto Schiff Care Home in Hendon.

What you'll be doing:

  • Ensuring laundry activities are delivered to the required standard so that the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained across Jewish Care.
  • Ensuring on all occasions safe and hygienic working practices are delivered in order to satisfy Health and Safety at Work and other statutory legislation.
  • Consistently deliver excellent customer service and build positive working relationships with colleagues and services, always responding to feedback to improve the housekeeping service.

What you'll need:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • an understanding of COSHH and Health & Safety in the workplace, or a willingness to be trained.
  • Be able to use initiative and work independently without direct supervision 
  • Have a can do attitude
