This full time Kitchen Porter role is based at our Adrian Gordan, Care Home in Stanmore. The working hours are 40 hours each week worked 5 days out of 7 to including Sundays.

The role of Kitchen Porter will involve the delivery of Hotel Services within Jewish Care Homes and Community Centres. The position is responsible for the effective delivery of kitchen services to an excellent standard to meet Health & Safety Regulations. Effective communication, ability to work well within a team and have a flexible approach are key.

Principal Accountabilities / Responsibilities  

  • Ensure general kitchen activities are delivered to the required standard so that the highest standards are maintained across Jewish Care
  • Ensure on all occasions safe and hygienic working practices are delivered in order to satisfy Health and Safety at Work and other statutory legislation
  • Consistently deliver excellent customer service and build positive working relationships with colleagues and services, always responding to feedback to improve the service

 Qualifications & Experience

  • Willing to undertake, an NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Professional Cookery and Social Care Catering
  • Have an understanding of COSHH and Health & Safety in the workplace, or a willing to be trained
  • Can demonstrate experience in a similar role
