What you’ll be doing

The role of Dining room co-ordinator will involve the delivery of Hotel Services within Jewish Care Homes. 

This position will be responsible for the effective delivery of dining room services to an excellent standard to meet Health & Safety Regulations.  Effective communication, ability to work well within a team and be flexible in their approach.

You’ll have a key role ensuring we deliver an excellent standard of food and service for our customers, creating an inviting and pleasant environment. Your core duties will involve:

  • Serving residents in the dining rooms breakfast and lunch, clearing, tables and keeping dining rooms clean and tidy. 
  • Replenishing breakfast stock ready for the next day.
  • Completing cleaning schedules in line with food & hygiene guidelines.  
  • Ensuring on all occasions safe and hygienic working practices are delivered in order to satisfy Health and Safety at Work and other statutory legislation.
  • Consistently delivering excellent customer service and building  positive working relationships with colleagues and services, always responding to feedback to improve the service.

Who we’re looking for

You’ll ideally have previous experience in a smiliar role, with the ability to work under pressure within a team and independently. You’ll also have the following:

  • An understanding of COSHH and Health & Safety in the workplace, or willing to be trained
  • Great communication skills and confident in speaking to a range of people, can provide an excellent customer service
  • Ability to use initiative and work independently without direct supervision
  • A positive and flexible attitude
  • Willingness to undertake appropriate training (e.g. Supervision, NVQ Training)
